For referees, umpires, and assignors
Assign netball umpires across courts and levels
Cover community competitions with many courts running at once, set by level, with umpires told as soon as the round changes.
Familiar assigning problems
- Several courts starting at the same time
- Umpire levels that decide which games someone can take
- Weekly rounds that change with weather and venue
What Horizon already does
Umpire levels
Match umpires to the grades they are cleared for, from junior to senior community competition.
Multi-court conflicts
Catch an umpire placed on two courts in the same time slot.
Open matches as TBA Requests
Post unfilled matches so umpires can put their hand up — Horizon calls that TBA Requests. You review the interest and award each match.
Pay for a round of matches
Track fees for each umpire across a round or season. Electronic ACH through Payment Center is United States only; fees may apply.
How netball organizers run community rounds in Horizon

- Set umpire levels so each match shows only the umpires who hold the right badge or grade.
- Assign two umpires per match across all courts, or open matches so umpires can show interest — Horizon calls that TBA Requests.
- Notify umpires when a round changes and report fees at the end of the season.
