For referees, umpires, and assignors
Assign field hockey officials from one officiating operation
Cover turf nights, tournaments, and travel without a second system.
Familiar assigning problems
- Travel between turf fields
- Eligibility by level
- Last-minute coverage without a phone tree
What Horizon already does
Level qualifications
Keep umpires on the levels they hold and limit top-level games to qualified umpires.
Turf-to-turf conflicts
Catch an umpire booked on two pitches at once, or without enough time to move between turf fields.
Tournament coverage as TBA Requests
Post open tournament games so umpires can show interest — Horizon calls that TBA Requests — then award each one yourself.
Pay per game
Pay umpires per game and report totals for each pay period. Electronic ACH through Payment Center is United States only; fees may apply.
How field hockey assignors run turf nights in Horizon
- Import games by pitch and date, with levels and game codes on each game.
- Set qualifications by level so school and club games draw from the right umpires.
- Assign two umpires per game, or open tournament games so umpires can show interest — Horizon calls that TBA Requests — then award them.
- Notify umpires of pitch or time changes, then pay out from the games worked.
Field hockey positions you can assign
