For referees, umpires, and assignors
Protect the operation your officials depend on
Keep assignments, accounts, and payroll records in one place your organization controls. Members can lock down their login, you can check system status in public, and support is available when something needs a person.
Accounts stay with the people who should have them
Each member has their own login. Multi-factor authentication is available. Idle sessions are signed out so a shared computer is less likely to stay open.
You can see whether the system is up
Current status and maintenance notices are published on a public status site. You do not have to wait on a phone tree to find out if Horizon is available.
The record stays in the subscription
Games, reports, invoices, and payroll history live with the organization. Extended archiving is available if you need to keep more.
Public system status
Current status and planned maintenance are posted on a public status site so assignors and officials can check the system themselves.
Login protection
Members can enable multi-factor authentication on their own login. Organizations should keep logins individual and passwords strong.
Who can see what
Organization administrators decide who can assign games, view reports, and manage pay. Officials see the assignments and records that belong to them.
Payments
Subscription purchases are processed in US dollars. United States organizations can send ACH through Payment Center, with published processing fees.
Support when you need a person
Chat and email support are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. The system is still watched around the clock for outages and other serious problems. Incident and maintenance notes go on the status site.
Browsers and devices
Use Horizon from a modern desktop browser or from the Android and iOS apps included with a subscription. Browser traffic uses HTTPS.
Records you can stand behind
Invoices and other in-application archives stay with the subscription. Extended archiving is an optional add-on when you need a longer keep.
Where member data is hosted
Horizon hosts member data in the United States. Browser traffic uses HTTPS. Nightly backups we keep to restore the system also stay in the United States.
How we back up the system
Horizon takes nightly backups so we can restore the system after an emergency. Those copies stay in the United States. They are for Horizon to recover the service, not for an organization to undo a change someone made in the software. If you need your own copy after a mistake, export or download the records you want to keep.
When chat is closed
Chat and email support are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. The system is watched around the clock, automatically and by people. We watch for outages, emergencies, and other serious problems on weekends and holidays too. A chat or email on Saturday may wait until Monday. If Horizon is down or a major software problem appears, we work it right away — including Saturday, Sunday, and holidays.
