Conflict checks

Catch double-books and overlapping games before they publish, so the same official is harder to put in two places at once.

Eligibility and qualifications

Apply certifications, age rules, blocks, and position rules so ineligible assignments are harder to make.

Collect interest before you assign

Post an open game, let eligible officials say they want it, then review responses and award it. Horizon calls this TBA Requests. Saying you are interested is not an assignment — the assignor stays in control.

Scheduling and assigning

Create or import games, assign manually or automatically, link games that should travel together, and publish so officials can accept or decline. When a slot is still open, you can collect interest first and award it afterward — Horizon calls that TBA Requests.

Availability and eligibility

Officials manage availability. Assignors apply qualifications, age rules, blocks, and conflict checks so ineligible or double-booked assignments are harder to make.

Communication and reminders

Email and push notifications come with your subscription. Text reminders do too, and Premium SMS is there as an add-on if you need more text capacity.

Payroll and payments

Fee structures, deductions, mileage, and payroll reports come with your subscription. Electronic ACH through Payment Center is for United States organizations, with published processing fees.

Ratings, observer comments, rankings, game reports, and incident reports can be turned on for your organization.

Mobile apps and calendar sync

Android and iOS apps come with a subscription, and officials can sync games to Google Calendar or an iCal feed.

Imports, integrations, and API

Spreadsheet imports come with your subscription, and SportsEngine schedule imports are there when you use that source. The developer API is an add-on.

Documents, video, and travel details

Share documents (50 MB) and unlimited video. Travel itineraries for hotels, flights, and rental cars can be recorded when that feature is on.

Coaches, schools, and leagues

Team coaches and school athletic directors can access their schedules without consuming a license. League tools are available when your organization enables them.
